Chicagoland’s Real Estate Market Update for January 2023

Hey Chicagoland! We're entering the fall months, and time when things start to slow down just a little! Real Estate last month was steady!

𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝'𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑

This month indicates that Naperville is a fairly balanced market, with advantages to offer to both buyers and sellers. While prices have held steady for close to a year, we'd expect them to start creeping up if the declining inventory trend continues. All of these changes affect home values, including yours.

In November 2022, DuPage County home prices were up 4.6% compared to last year, selling for a median price of $340K. On average, homes in DuPage County sell after 56 days on the market compared to 18 days last year. There were 756 homes sold in November this year, down from 1,274 last year.

In November 2022, Naperville home prices were up 5.8% compared to last year, selling for a median price of $444K. On average, homes in Naperville sell after 63 days on the market compared to 17 days last year. There were 126 homes sold in November this year, down from 223 last year.
